Is it possible to apply limitations on a full version?

Postby BigToni » Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:12 pm

I'm talking about the the R+G-Rated restrictions on actors clothes.

I want to restrict it before giving the kids some cinematography lessons.

They are not computer genius, so if it's about a Dll or two, it can be excellent.

Would love to know if it's possible and how it can be done.

Thank you.

Is this forum alive?

Long time since my last visit, seems like a STD* situation.

Even Views for this message are all mine, refreshing the page to see some response...

We are alive... currently I don't think there is a way, at least on the Mac, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to add that capability. Would it suffice for your purposes if it was a checkbox in the preference dialog, or would you want something harder for the kids to circumvent?

Thanks for the response.

I'm on Win.

Checkbox in the preference dialog - I think it's a good start. But if they take the program seriously, they will find it eventually. Maybe a password for this option can be great.

A file you can manually add to the installation folder can be great as well.

But what is the easiest and fastest for you, will do for starters.

Thank you!

We're working on it. While testing, we found that some of the nudity restrictions weren't working as intended since version 3. But I'd guess that the new feature will be in an update for Windows by the end of the week.

The Windows update with a censorship option is now available (Help > Check for Program Updates). The corresponding Mac update will be soon, maybe tomorrow.
