Fire Type 2C?

Is there a way to set or turn off the aperture for props item "Fire Type 2C"?
I want to blend it down but don't see how.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but there are a couple of adjustments you can make in the Green Room dialog, under the Colors/Textures/State tab.

1. You could make the fire more transparent. Change the pop-up menu under Part Name to "Opacity" and move the slider.

2. You could make the fire image darker. Move all 3 tint sliders to the left.

Thanks. But not really what I was looking for.
If I place a character by the fire I need to set the f/stop to 8 in order not to burn out the face.
I want do adjust the setting for the fire so it doesn't affect the lightning. I just want the fire - not the fire to add lightning to the scene. Is that possible? Thanks :)

OK, I think I get it. If you click the Lights tab over on the right hand side of the window, you'll see controls for the fire. One of those items is an on/off button for the light emitted by the fire, or you can use a slider to reduce the light output.
