Settings for Canon T1i/APC Sensor Camera

Postby richcampent » Fri Aug 28, 2009 1:45 pm

I wanted to set up FrameForge for my T1i which has the APC sensor so the focal distances are off. I was wondering what I should use as for setting? Thanks

Ran into the same problem with other Canon models. Here's a link to their sensor sizes. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Revi ... eview.aspx

In FrameForge go to the edit frame size and enter in the film width at 22.3 and the aspect ratio of 1.5 to get pretty close to the 14.9 height. I realize that the specs on the Canons say 1.6 aspect but if you punch in that number in FrameForge you get a height that doesn't match the camera sensor.

The page you linked to doesn't say the aspect ratio is 1.6, it says the aspect is 3:2, which is the same as 1.5. You may have been looking at the 1.6 "field of view crop factor".

Good catch lol. But, the solution works. So far so good. Tested in real world shots too.
