Object Resizes diagonally and not squared

Postby Rango » Sat Sep 04, 2010 9:39 am

I may be answering my own question here, but with a google sketchup window, and then a FF3D table, when resizing, either will squish up diagonally.

I have tried adjusting depth, but that didn't seem to work.

Now, this happened when I put the objects - window and table - against a wall that was at an angle.

Do I just need to play with the depth and width settings until I get it right, or do angles - walls at 5 degrees, 10 degrees, and so on - make objects act abnormally? :?:

thank you.

If you want to scale something unequally, you need to start with the object in its standard orientation, i.e., not tilted or spun around. Select the object, click the R button next to the Tilt throttle, then click the curved arrow button next to the Spin throttle.
