It's true that there is no undo for tweening. However, the most common reason to want to get rid of some tweens is that you're planning to recreate them, for instance to change the frame rate. And in that case it's not necessary, because when you go to create some more tweens, you will be asked if you want to nuke the old ones.
If you want to get rid of lots of tweens, the Tools > Purge Tweened Shots menu command is an alternative to using the Shot Manager.
