Using named user poses between actors.

Postby kenmatthews » Fri Apr 20, 2007 3:24 am

Hello,

I posed an actor and saved as a named pose, I then wanted to use the same pose with another actor (in order to save time) and adjust it from there, if necessary. Alas the pose seems to be only available to the original actor. Did I do something wrong?

Best regards.

Ken.

If had something glued to the actor and didn't UNCHECK the option Require Objects to be Glued to Body during the pose saving then the pose will ONLY be visible when you have those objects glued to the body.

Alternatively, if you scaled the first or second actor the pose is only for the actor at a certain height.

Finally all poses/relationships are saved for a given actor type (male, female, boy, girl) and are ONLY available for actors of that same type. Thus is you save a pose for the man, it won't be available for the woman.

You can do a cross-gender pose import by choosing POSES->IMPORT POSES and selecting the base acttor type in your Library\Poses. It will ask you whether you REALLY want to do a cross-gender import, say YES and continue normally with the import.

Hello,

Many thanks for that, I'll try it out. It was a female actor, so I'll try the import...

Best regards.
