Skinny actors

Does anyone knows how to make really thin or skinny actors??

Next to the scale button are three "sub-buttons" w, h, and d which stand for width, height and depth. If you click the H (Height) button to deselect it, then scaling will scale just the width and depth which will make them look skinnier, though probably at the cost of looking somewhat distorted.

Making really thin or skinny actors -

The scale buttons are a good start, but it seems to me it would be better still if we could scale parts of the actors and not just their whole bodies.

Scaling the whole body has a tendency to make actors just look farther away.

It seems to me if I could scale down a body without scaling down the head for instance, that would help a lot to create convincingly thin characters.
