Future Animation Cycles

Postby Banksyde » Wed Mar 07, 2012 12:22 pm

Perhaps you may be developing animation cycles as I speak. Much like the cycles in the late Antics. If so, wouldn't it be keen for the Pro version to have a timeline and animation curves? I would like to be able to manipulate the cycles. For instance, say I have a walking woman trip on her high heels, but then suddenly regain her balance. By manipulating the animation curve of a walk, I could create a trip move. Hopefully, maybe, possibly, you might be considering such a thing.

I agree, this facility would be great.

Hey guys, been a while.

I agree completely. Over a year ago, I posted a request for this very thing:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4899

suggesting that it would open up a whole new customer base (animators), but acknowledging the possible difficulty and expense involved.

On one hand, it would be nice to be able to use some of the basic funcionality found in animation programs (try tweening a standing character simply sitting down onto a chair in FF and notice what the feet do).

On the other hand, there's a sense of satisfaction in successfully using a tool for something other than what it is intended, having to figure out work-arounds for what I want to do - kinda like using a butterknife as a screwdriver. Then again, if I made my living driving screws, I'd want the best professional screwdriver I could get. Adding more exstensive animation capabilities would make FrameForge a damn good screwdriver!

Cheers!

I hope that Frameforge boffins are working on this. I, for one, would pay for this facility...

Best regards.

yes, cycles would be great.
Maybe even export for the cameras to MAYA would also be mucho grande.
Kind Regards
