Title cards and title text

Postby Tim Prokop » Fri Aug 17, 2007 11:44 pm

HI,

I must be missing something - new to the program - but I see no waty to bring in titles or text or logos (or even a very useful copyright symbol).

The ohter issue is whether tehre's a way to import graphic images so that they don't autmatically tile but scalke to the background. Trying to do poor man's 2D matte painting behind images, but I canb't get it to work well.

Any help apreciated,.

Best.

I created text in paint shop, saved it to a jpg. In FF, created a user object, regular cube, resized it so the facing side was the correct dimensions, then applied the texture, then dollied in so that it filled the frame, set the focal distance, worked great.

Thanks for the cube selection. That'd get the logo in. I just created a wall of them and zoomed in on the tiled file.

But how doI take an image and use that for the background... such as sky for very big sets, or a large 2D scenic for the walls etc.

The sky and wall tile functions seem very linited but I may be missing something.

When you apply a texture to a wall, you have the option to tile it or not, so you can stretch the wall out as big as you like with a single non-repeating texture stretched across it.

You can also create panoramas, which are 3D circular backdrops, and you can set a general sky color in the Edit Set Parameters Dialog.
